Why does my dryer take three cycles to dry a load?
Almost always airflow. Lint builds in the duct run, the exterior flap sticks, or the blower wheel has cracked loose. Heat without escape means moisture stays in the drum. We measure airflow and heat together instead of guessing at parts.
Is a burning smell an emergency?
Stop the dryer and unplug it. A scorched smell usually means lint has collected near the heating element or the motor is overheating. That's a fire risk, not a nuisance. Leave it off and call us the same day.
Can you fix gas dryers too?
Yes. Gas models add an igniter, gas valve coils, and a flame sensor to the heat circuit. We test each in sequence. If we find a gas supply problem outside the appliance, we'll tell you to bring in your gas provider.
Should I repair a ten-year-old dryer?
